Hearts and Stars and Frosting, Oh My!
~It's never quite Christmas without gingerbread cookies~
This year I decided on hearts and stars rather than little be-buttoned men
(Fun and dapper though they are)!

Now my wrist needs to recover and rest after all that icing-squeezing!
tee hee

Mmmmmmm.....cinnamon candies!
Next on my baking agenda....a hazelnut and chocolate Yule Log!
Meep!
Wishing you all a most Merry Almost-Christmas time!!

Sprigged Frockling for Miss

It's hard to find time to sew these days....but I finally made a date for myself and the sewing machine after our wee one went to bed last night, then over nap time this morning and this sweet little sprigged frockling was born! Hooray! I feel much better about myself having accomplished a little something in the sewing department again (even if it does have it's little quirks, tee hee). I'm going to try to find time in the new year to make a sheer, white, window-pane checked pinafore to go over it from the same pattern (which is very dandy, indeed).

It is a modern pattern, but with the reproduction fabric I think it has a rather timeless quality and hopefully shall be quite comfy to wear and play in (though she still has a wee bit of growing to do before it fits just so, and I added two rows of tucks so it could be let out as she continues to shoot up like a little bean stalk).
(I'm also more than a little envious of Miss Baby over that lovely, brown sprigged fabric......what a dainty 1820's day dress it would make! tee hee)

Just a wee note that a fresh batch of gift tag sets have merrily made their way back

Twinkle Twinkle
A humble little view of our little table top tree
(safer for both Baby, and sapling) all a-lit in the dusk of a quiet December eve.

Please do forgive my lack of postlings, as of late....I've been busy packaging orders from the shoppe (Thanks to all who have visited my little MarmeeCraft forest), baking (and munching) as well as working (from time to time) on a sweet little Victorian-esque frockling for Miss Baby.

Happy Holiday tea times To You, Dearies!!

Packages Tied up with String
I'm so smitten with these pretty wrapping papers that I found for one dollar each this year
(and the crisp smell of scotch tape as I wrap up a few little gifts for our wee one)!

Victorian Kitchen
I just discovered this wonderful old series via the most Fanciful of Twistlings:
And now I wonder.....how ever did I not know about this before!?
I know what I shall be watching this weekend over tea and gingersnaps!!!
Swoon!!
I do so love programs like this!!
I love hearing how things were and how people lived from those who were there...so interesting, indeed......and I am ever so thankful that I'm not a scullery maid!! Goodness me!! I'm so spoiled!!
(And I also wish that I had a garden anywhere near so lovely)!!
Thankeeeee for sharing Vanessa!
