An Early bit of Spring

Recently a rather reckless and unfortunate work truck brushed up against our poor old apple tree, breaking off one of his branches! So, I brought it inside, clipped a bit off of the base, and put it in an old hot chocolate jar (which makes a dandy vase, indeed)....in hopes it would bring an early bit of Spring to our little house......indeed it has!!


The scent is so lovely, and the apple blooms are doubtless confused when they look out the windows and see the snowy woods beyond......I wonder what ever they must think!?

♥ Tea Time Valentine-Hearts for You

strawberry & vanilla marshmallow hearts

milk chocolate

dark chocolate

toothpicks

sprinkles

When I spied these sweet, little marshmallow hearts a chocolatey, tea time vision was born!

(And a messy little candy-making session was soon underway)!

You could also make your own dainty little mallows......imagine how much lovelier these treats would be (Alas, I'm not very much good at mallow-making, and so pre-made puffs it was for me, tee hee).

Stick each of the little fluffy hearts with a toothpick, melt the chocolate, smear it on the marshmallows and sprinkle away to your heart's content!! Mine are a humble little affair, but I'm sure yours would be ever so lovely and scrumptious!! You could also use those dandy candy sticks that they sell in bakery shops, but I had toothpicks on hand, so toothpicks it was!
